Volume Spacers reduce the volume of the air chamber. This makes the shock more progressive, helping with bottoming out.
Contrary to what you’ll find on various websites, adding spacers isn’t a good solution to stop diving, it just makes the shock harder, deeper in the travel. If you fit them as a way to stop diving, you will most likely never use all the available travel – contact us about tuning your shock as getting the damper in your shock to do the damping you need it to do is the best solution for making your shock work for you, your bike, and your riding – this can’t be done on an assembly line in a factory!
The team of technical experts at Sprung can help with any queries you may have regarding your bike, suspension or setup. Drop us a line and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
